Volunteers & Partnerships
Volunteering
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of people throughout York Region and have an immeasurable impact on the success of our growing communities. Opportunities exist to make a difference in our community by volunteering occasionally in support of a community event, or seasonally through our Christmas Assistance Program and our Christmas Kettle Campaign.
For more information, and a volunteer registration form, download our Volunteer Registration Form and/or contact us using the information on our Contact Us page.
My Story
Hi, my name is Russell Davis and recently I had the privilege to spend five months working at The Salvation Army Northridge Community Church. It really changed the way I see the Salvation Army and its church.
Community Service Hours
The Salvation Army works regularly with individuals who are court ordered to complete hours of community service as part of their sentence. Inquiries are usually screened through a phone call and a referral or appointment for a further interview is arranged. Call for more information.
Small Group Events
An ever expanding network of faith based, small groups helps people cope with the stresses of each day by providing a loving caring environment in which the answers to life’s many questions are explored and discussed.
Community Events
We frequently run community activities and events, involving people of all ages from youth to “Just Older Youth” (ie. The JOY Club – a fellowship program for the elderly).
There are many opportunities for volunteers to assist with these events and programs. For a complete listing, please call us. Click for a calendar of current events
