Homelessness Prevention and Rent Bank Program
This program’s goal is to aid in the prevention of homelessness for York Region residents. The aim is to provide “one time” financial assistance to those at risk of losing their home, the homeless or those living in temporary
shelter. Support is also provided to people for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining affordable housing.

Living Free Support Group Ministry
This recovery support program is designed to assist you to develop a healthier lifestyle. Support group meetings are held weekly and operate for periods of 8 to 13 weeks. Contact us about registering for our next

Christmas Assistance
The Salvation Army operates one of the largest Christmas Assistance & Relief programs throughout Canada and here in the communities of Newmarket, Aurora and East Gwillimbury. Applications from families and individuals in need are accepted after November 1st for food, clothing and toy assistance.
Donations of food and new, unwrapped toys are always needed in support of the hundreds of families that apply each year. Financial Counselling

As part of our Recovery Ministry, The Salvation Army Northridge Community Church offers a Financial Recovery Program that will help families and individuals learn how to better manage their finances though a simple method that instructs and teaches us how to make priorities and live within our means. See first hand a solution to living in freedom from debt.
Courts & Justice Programs
Are you, someone you know or a family member dealing with a criminal charge, conviction or lesser misdemeanour? Call to inquire about meeting with one of our own Salvation Army Court Chaplains to discuss your options and if guilty, how you can commit to a plan of social justice or reparations through community service. Drug-Proofing Your Kids
Can parents stop their children from trying tobacco, alcohol or illicit drugs? The answer is NO however, parents can be more effective at influencing their children’s choices.
