Community Care for Seniors

Joy Club

Edith with beanie

Seniors in our immediate community meet once a month, at 11:00 AM on the last Wednesday of the month, for fellowship and a nutritious lunch.

This active group, known as the Joy Club (Just Older Youth – 55+), enjoy a stimulating program prior to a lunch hosted by members of the Northridge congregation.

Special Services

Pastors Brian and Glenda also conduct regular “on site” worship services at some of the assisted living residences, retirement homes and long term care facilities. Monthly services are held at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket Health Centre, Barton Retirement Residence, Amica Retirement Residence and ClockTower Retirement Residence.

Pastoral Care

At Northridge, giving care is a core value and a passion.

Some congregation members have been trained in pastoral care and reach out to those in the community who want a visit either at home or in hospital.

Members of the team provide pastoral support in the event of serious illness, emergencies or other times of need.
